WW II Veteran honored

Wardell Starling, 95 of Jacksonville, was awarded a plaque, recognizing his "service to his country during World War II and his continued service to his community." Presenting the plaque is Dick Miller, American Legion Post 152 Commander. Mr. Starling served in the U.S. Air Force from 1941-1946. Mr. Starling died Monday, June 1 in hospice care.
