Jacksonville Education Foundation event committee members from left, Jackie Swanson, Susan Phillips and Cindy Richards, recently met to strategize and address invitations for the annual "Evening with Ours Stars" in August. This year's honorees are Jacksonville's own accomplished alumna Sissy Austin and Champion Basketball Coach John Alexander. The annual fundraiser will be at the Castle on the Lake on Aug. 15. All proceeds from the Jacksonville Education Foundation benefit JISD students and staff through scholarships, monetary recognition and classroom grants. Invitations will be mailed soon.
