Getting ready for the 31st annual Azelea Quilt Show 10 a.m.-5 p.m. March 23-24 at Harvey Convention Center in Tyler are from left in front Deborah Burkett (owner of the Japanese quilt on table) and Sandra McClenny, raffle ticket chair; in back, Carolyn Kindred (quilt show chairman), Jeanne Crotty (leader of Bee that made the quilt), and Angie Self (QGET president). The quilt on the table was hand pieced and hand quilted in Japan. It has more than 62,000 pieces. In the background is "Waves of Glory," a red, white and blue Bargello quilt with Tyler roses on the border, will be raffled at the show. Admission is $6 with a $1 discount for senior citizens and children.
