Travis and Louise Gowin celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary April 12. They were married in 1941 at Jacksonville College. They will meet with family and friends at a later time to commemorate the occasion. Their children are Arlene and Carl Wimberley of Longview; Oma Jean and Ronnie Hutto of Mesquite; Judy Gowin of Craft; and Eddie and Sandy Travis of Echo Valley.
