Cherokee County 4-H had three members participate in the District Horse Show in Athens June 16. Ashley Meaux-Goodwin, left, placed first in her class, grade gelding; River Goodwin, center, placed second in his class, halter grade mare; and Justin Hathorn, right, not only placed first in his class, halter registered mare, but also received the grand champion award for halter mare. Both Goodwins have competed several years in a row. This was Justin's first 4-H Horse project competition. All three will compete at the State 4-H Horse Show in Abilene,July 29 - Aug. 8.
