Purple potties are starting to show up around Rusk as a fund-raiser for the American Cancer Society. Lucille Hipp and Kim Lloyd recently delivered a potty to Whitehead Enterprises, which forwarded the porcelain tank to Citizens 1st Bank. Cost to suggest a site recipient is $25. A plumber pass, so the potty will not return is $10. "Flush out Cancer" is a fundraiser to educate the community about "Relay for Life," from 7 p.m. April 27 to 7 a.m. April 28 at Mauldin Field in Jacksonville. The event has raised $500 in one week.
