Mr. Howard Price King, 72, of Rusk, Texas passed away on July 23, 2026, in Nacogdoches, Texas.
He was born on July 12, 1954, in Sylacauga, Alabama to James (Jim) Harold King and Mattie Lou Stanford King.
Howard is preceded in death by both parents, sister Linda Stanford, and granddaughter Makyia Mercedes King.
He is survived by children Michelle (Shell) Ozuna and spouse Robert of Rusk, Texas, Stacey (Nerd) King and spouse Nichole of Rusk, Texas, Mickey (Doodle) King and spouse Jamie of Jacksonville, Texas, Ashley (Baby Girl) Hajovsky of Nacogdoches, Texas; mother of his children Pansy Simmons and spouse Clifford of Jacksonville, Texas; brother Randal King and spouse Joyce of Vincent, Alabama; sister Sherry Stephens of Dallas, Texas; daughter-in-law Melissa King of Nacogdoches, Texas; grandchildren Adam Thompson and spouse Ruth, Ballie Killingsworth, Tanner and spouse Desiree Stone, Garrett Richardson and spouse Grechel, Eryn Broadus and Collin Muirhead, Rylie King and Ceana Stevens, Randal King, Piper Richardson, Canaan King, Kradynn King; great-grandchildren Emory, Emma, Wade, Nevaeh, Carter Killingsworth; baby in the oven (Hensley), Addilyn, Natali, Naomi, Ezra Thompons; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers are Ryan Robertson, Bobby Collins, Canaan King, Tanner Stone, Kradynn King, Ryilie King, Randal King, Collin Muirhead.
Honorary pallbearers are Garrett Richardson, Cherokee County Co-Op, City of Rusk, James Sanchez, Jeremy Grimes, James Vaughn, and Tim Jones.
A time of visitation will be held on Sunday, July 26, 2026, from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. at the First Apostolic Church in Dialville, Texas. A Celebration of Life will immediately follow, beginning at 2 p.m. in the church.
Bro. Paul Gates and Pastor Dennis White of Nacogdoches Gospel Assembly officiating.
Services are under the direction of Wallace-Thompson Funeral Home.
