Special Council Meeting called for noon Friday in Rusk

RUSK – Local city leaders will convene Friday, July 24, in a special noon meeting at Rusk City Hall, where they will discuss/take action regarding a separation and resignation agreement of former City Manager Bob Goldsberry.

During the meeting, oaths of office will be administered to newly appointed Rusk Police Department members, among them Preston Green Jr., the city’s pick to run that department. Green will begin work Aug. 3, city officials said during a July regular meeting.
