Alto Nursing Home doing business as The Arbors in Rusk is expected to open late this summer on Loop 343 near the intersection with Crockett Street in Rusk. The Alto facility employs 60 part-time and full-time employees and has a capacity of 60 beds. The new facility will feature 110 beds and an additional 30 employees are expected. The 36,000 square feet building will feature a 1,500 square foot gym. The Arbors is a project that has been four years in the making. Don Steel is the contractor for the job, and the architect is Frazier and Associates of Austin. Owners Steve and Pam Winfield will operate the facility.
