Glenda Hendrick Alexander

Glenda Hendrick Alexander, 70 of Rhome, TX passed away August 19, 2024 in Burleson. Glenda was born December 7, 1953 in Rusk, TX to Joe Rayford Hendrick and Audrie Mae Pearson Hendrick. She loved to collect angels, caring for her plants, visiting with her friends, sewing, cooking and taking care of kiddos.

Mrs. Alexander is survived by her spouse: Randall Sipes of Rhome; son: Shawn Alexander and wife Marsha of Rhome, TX; grandchildren: D.J. Hare, Amanda Garrett and Nicholas Alexander; great grandchildren: Athena, Kayliah, Nicholas, Jr. and Avery; sisters: Elain Wilkinson of San Augustine, Jo Ann Wilburn of Jacksonville, Rose Johnson of Jacksonville, and June Hendrick of Jacksonville; as well as a number of nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family members. She is preceded in death by her parents, her son: Allen Alexander; brother: David Hendrick and sister: Tammy Cory.

Visitation for Mrs. Alexander will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, August 23, 2024 at Wallace-Thompson Funeral Home in Rusk. A celebration of her life will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, August 24, at the Chapel of Wallace Funeral Home with Bro. Michael Bobbit officiating. Burial will follow at Hendricks Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Ronnie Keith, Daniel Rice, Haydn Smith, Bobby Stauter, Jack Young, and O.J. Todd. Services are under the direction of Wallace-Thompson Funeral Home, Rusk, TX.
