Wells: Boil water notice cancelled
Alert from City of Wells: Boil Water Notice Canceled
Date: Mar 13, 2024
On March 7, 2024, the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) required our public water system, CITY OF WELLS ID# 0370004, to issue a Boil Water Notice (BWN) to inform our customers that due to the elevated tank freezing causing a city-wide interruption in service, water from our system must be boiled prior to consumption.
Location: All customers living on Wright Patman Dr, and 10 customers living from the intersection of Greenville Rd and Warner Rd (aka County Road 2626) North to the cemetery.
Our system has taken the necessary corrective actions to restore adequate pressure, disinfectant levels, and bacteriological quality and has provided TCEQ with testing results that indicate that the water no longer requires boiling as of March 13, 2024.
If you have questions concerning this matter, you may contact Roy Shanks, Operator, or City Hall at (936) 867-4615.
If a customer wishes to contact TCEQ, they may call. (512) 239-4691
