Council to consider sale of mobile restroom, dually
JACKSONVILLE – Four years after approving purchase of a mobile restroom trailer for use at eligible Hotel/Motel vents, Jacksonville city leaders will look at placing the item – and an F-150 dually used to haul it – up for sale.
The action item will be addressed during a 6 p.m. meeting Tuesday, March 12, at Jacksonville City Council Chambers, 315 S. Ragsdale St.
According to information contained in a meeting agenda packet available on the city’s website, www.jacksonvilletx.org, “In early 2020, the city of Jacksonville took delivery of a mobile restroom trailer. Since that time, it has been used less than two dozen
times. Staff has determined there is no need to retain and maintain the mobile restroom trailer. Organizations believe it should be free and do not want to pay the fees for renting the trailer.”
The item is one of more than a dozen items listed on this month’s council agenda.
