Gregory Burton Neely

Gregory Burton Neely passed away March 1, 2024. He was born February 16, 1942, in Nashville, Tennessee to Margaret and James Neely. Greg graduated from the University of Tennessee with an Engineering degree and had a Professional Engineering license. Greg was in commercial construction his entire career. The Neely's made Rusk their home in 1994.

Going before him were his parents and sister of Nashville and his beloved son Patrick in Birmingham, Alabama.

Surviving are his wife Martha, Rusk; son Michael (Patsy) of Lewiston, Maine; stepson Michael Hayes (Tamme), Apollo Beach, Florida; three grandsons: Brandon Neely, Shelby, Alabama, Joey Hayes, Huntsville, Alabama and Andy Hayes, Birmingham, Alabama; also by his brother Robert Neely (Nancy) of Nashville.

A Celebration of Greg’s Life will be held Wednesday, March 13th in the Fellowship Hall of the First United Methodist Church in Rusk from 4:00 to 6:00 pm. Everyone is invited to attend.
