County leaders to consider vehicle lease, purchase requests Oct. 24

RUSK – An Oct. 24 Cherokee County Commissioners’ Court meeting will include requests from unspecified precincts for lease of new 12-yard end dump trucks as well as obtaining bids for purchase of three-quarter ton work edition trucks, according to a meeting agenda.

County leaders also will:

• Consider approval of quotes for replacement chiller unit for courtroom

• Consider reappointment of Terry Morrow as a representative on the board of the Neches and Trinity Valley Groundwater Conservation District, along with appointing Case Wilkerson to fill an unexpired term on the board left by Julianna Peacock

• Consider approval of TxDOT Routine Airport Maintenance Grant

• Consider approval of a consent agenda featuring separate line item requests from precincts to transfer funds from primary American Rescue Plan expense line items to individual project expense line items.

The court meets at 9 a.m. the second and fourth Tuesday of the month at the Cherokee County Courthouse in downtown Rusk.
