Becky Ann Pittillo, 52 of Granbury, TX, formerly of Rusk passed away September 29, 2023 in Granbury. She was born March 29, 1971 in Jacksonville to Bobby D’wanye Pittillo and Sue Ella Odom Pittillo. Becky graduated from Jacksonville High School in 1989. She was currently working for the District Clerk’s office for Hood County. She had previously worked for Cherokee County in the District Clerk's office as well as for the Health Department, and at Stage in Jacksonville.
Becky was always cheerful and uplifting to others. She was just a fun loving and caring person to be around. She enjoyed doing all sorts of things such as crafting, painting and making home décor in her spare time as well as cooking, baking, gardening and perch jerking. But of all of the things that she enjoyed the most in this world was being the greatest loving Mother to her sons.
Ms. Pittillo is survived by her sons: B.J. Edwards of Jacksonville, and Dustin Edwards of Jacksonville; brother: Robert Meador of Denison; sisters: Belinda Waddle and husband Paul of Palestine and Sandy Wood and husband Chris of Hiawassee, Georgia; ten nieces and nephews; as well as a number of great nieces, nephews and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents, her grandparents, and her dog, Harold Fitzgerald, aka: “Mr. Fitz”.
Visitation for Ms. Pittillo will be held from 6-8:00 p.m., Friday, October 6, 2023 at Wallace-Thompson Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, October 7, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Wallace-Thompson Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Pleasant Grove Cemetery. Pallbearers will be: B.J. Edwards, Dustin Edwards, Paul Waddle, Terry Loviette, C.J. Wood, and Dakota Wood. Honorary Pallbearer will be J.C. Meador. Funeral arrangements are being held under the direction of Wallace-Thompson Funeral Home, Rusk, TX.
