Tree at the Rusk Post office

by Penny Hawkins

Postmaster Laurie Lockett assured me that they are NOT cutting down the huge oak tree at the east side of the Rusk Post Office today. She said the limbs have gotten so heavy they were in danger of splitting from the trunk and some of them were rubbing the top of William Wilder's law office and getting in the power lines. The tree is recovering from "Snowmagedden" but the 50 year old shrubs across the front of the building were killed and had to be removed.
