House on fire in Rusk

UPDATE: 10:15 a.m. Tuesday, April 19:

One woman was transported by ambulance to a Jacksonville hospital Wednesday morning, following a house fire in the 200 block of Henderson Street. According to a member of the Rusk Volunteer Fire Department, a call came in about 7:30 a.m. Wednesday regarding a wood frame residence there was on fire. No other individuals were reported inside the house, which was a total loss, he said. Crews from volunteer departments in Alto and Gallatin also were on site for the call, which lasted about 2 hours. An investigation is pending.
