Heagney named new Rusk Police Chief

Scott Heagney, a 29-year law veteran who has served with the Rusk Police Department since this year, was named Nov. 14 as the new Police Chief of Rusk.

According to city officials, Heagney will be formally confirmed during a Dec. 8, 2022, Rusk City Council meeting, and will assume his new duties at that point.
