Concerns addressed A local resident addresses the Rusk City Council during an Aug. 11 meeting during a public hearing on proposed ordinance amendments. A number of the comments pertained to either the establishment of a minimum square footage for new residences or short-term rentals in the city. Both issues were part of an Aug. 16 council workshop; city leaders are expected to vote on the proposals during a special 5:30 p.m. meeting set for Thursday, Aug. 18, at the Rusk Civic Center.
