Diann (Newman) Dyess

A funeral service for Diann (Newman) Dyess, 59, is scheduled at 10 a.m., Friday, August 12, 2022 at Autry Funeral Home in Jacksonville with Bro. Bruce Robinson officiating. She will be laid to rest at Providence Cemetery.

Visitation will begin on Thursday, August 11, 2022 and friends are cordially invited to visit with Diann’s family from 6 to 8 o’clock in the evening at Autry Funeral Home, Jacksonville.

Diann was born on February 23, 1963 to Lionel and Evelyn (Helm) Newman, and entered eternal life on August 8, 2022. Diann was a devoted Christian and faithful member of Muse Baptist Church where she played the piano and enjoyed studying her bible. She loved to sing and praise the Lord. She worked for Rusk State Hospital for 18 years and ETMC of Rusk for 5 years. There wasn’t a single person Diann didn’t touch through her food and she made sure that nobody ever left her home hungry.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Lionel Newman and Evelyn (Helm) Newman.

Left to cherish her memory are her loving husband of 38 years, Nathan Dyess; and her children, Koid Dyess and wife Cheyenne, and Jaclynn Hassell and husband Mackenzie. Her siblings are Rodney Newman and wife Cathy, and Stacy Blackburn and husband Tony.

Pallbearers will be James Newman, Jacob Newman, Ryan Dyess, Will Dyess, Caleb Dover, Matthew Dover, and Mackinley Dover. Honorary pallbearers are Dale Cavazos and Dale Crews.
