Jacksonville voters approve sale of Kiwanis Park property
The City of Jacksonville posted the following results for its May 7 municipal and special referendum elections, based on complete but unofficial results:
Jacksonville voters passed Proposition A by a 184-107 vote. The vote will allow the city to sell property known as “Kiwanis Park,” located near the Lake Jacksonville Dam. Under the proposition, proceeds of the sale are limited to use by other city parks on the lake.
Two council members ran unopposed posting the following results:
• Council District 2 – Mindy Gellock, 44 votes
• Council District 4 – Rob Gowin, 70 votes
