The story of Christmas

Youths from First United Methodist Church in Jacksonville present their annual Children's Program, held this year as part of the Dec. 19 worship services. The children read scripture and sang songs about the birth of Jesus Christ, the reason for the season of Christmas. This year’s event featured a live baby Jesus, who was portrayed by Macy Eckles, said Pastor Doug Wintermute. The program was directed by Faythe Abraham, director of children's ministries at the church.
