Memories of Christmas
Christmas isn’t just for making memories, it is for remembering them.
We asked local health care centers if their residents would like to share what they remember and we heard from Legacy of Jacksonville and Wells LTC.

“My best Christmas memory: I am 73 years old and this memory occurred when I was only 4! That year I wanted a 2-wheel bicycle. I was going to call it Trigger, after Roy Roger's horse. My bedroom was on the second floor. We had to wait for our grandparents to drive over from town. I just couldn't talk wait, so I quietly snuck to the tree downstairs and there was my bicycle! I flew back upstairs happier than I had ever been. I had my Trigger. We left Penna. and moved to TX in January. All our possessions, including my bike, were bringing up the rear. We all arrived safely on Jan. 5, 1955.” – T. Taylor, Wells LTC
“My best Christmas memory is opening the Christmas Gifts and getting a dog.” K.H., Wells LTC
“My Best Christmas memory is opening Christmas Gifts and spending the day with my family.” – M.B., Wells LTC
“My Best Christmas memory is having Christmas with her mother and father opening gifts spending time together and decorating with her kids.” – G.G., Wells LTC
“My Best Christmas memory is catching my mother's real Christmas tree on fire, and shooting the toy cap gun and the tree.” – D.P., Wells LTC
