Making a stand against cancer

Rusk FFA officers present a $1,170 check to American Cancer Society Senior Development Manager Kim Herman (center) as part of the chapter's Pink Out campaign. Prior to the school's Oct. 22 football game against Carthage, FFA members distributed noise makers and “I Stand Against Cancer” signs, with a moment of silence during half-time in honor of those fighting and those who lost their fight against the disease. The check presentation was made during Friday’s game.
