Scouts visit national museum

Boy Scout Troop 405 of Rusk visited the National Scouting Museum in Irving July 30. The scouts viewed Norman Rockwell paintings, enjoyed the shooting gallery and the many other exhibits at the museum. Established in 1959, the National Scouting Museum is the official museum of the Boy Scouts of America. The museum is committed to preserving the rich, 100-plus year history of the Scouting movement by collecting, organizing, preserving and displaying some of Scouting's greatest treasures.
