RISD trustees to meet Oct. 18

RUSK – Local school board trustees will meet at 6 p.m. Monday, Oct. 18, at the Rusk ISD Training Center, 199 Eagle Dr.

According to a meeting agenda, action items include:

• Consider resolution to make nominations to the board of directors of the Cherokee County Appraisal District

• Consider/approve TASB-initiated localized Policy Update 117, affecting local policies on purchasing and acquisition, facilities construction and compensation and benefits – leaves and absences

• Approve budget amendment for 2021-22 school year

• Consider Cherokee County Special Education Cooperative Shared Services Arrangement Agreement

• Consider resolutions authorizing transfer of property to the City of Rusk, Texas

• Consideration/board action on Level III Appeal

The agenda also incudes an executive/closed session; action, if any, will be taken when trustees resume into open meeting, as per Texas Government Code.
