Rusk State Hospital recognizes employees at appreciation luncheon

After missing last year’s Rusk State Hospital Employee Appreciations and Service Award Luncheon due to a national pandemic, RSH staff were finally able to come together July 16 to show employees how much they mean to the continued operations of the state facility.
Ben Middlebrooks, Rusk mayor and president of the RSH Volunteer Council, opened the festivities by acknowledging to the recipients the importance of their contributions to mental health in the community and the state.

During the lunch sponsored by the volunteer council, RSH Community Relations Director Kimberly McDaniel presented service awards to employees, with special recognition of Bobby Coates for 55 years of service.

Also during the gathering, Citizen’s 1st Bank President Jim Perkins presented the Volunteer Council a check for $1,000.
