Gary Lynn Morgan of Dialville, TX, was called home to be with the Lord on June 24, 2021. Gary was born on March 26, 1957, in Dimmitt, TX, to his late parents James Martin Morgan and Joy Lee Morgan.

Gary served in the Army from 1977-1983 where he achieved the rank of Master Sargent. During his military service he was awarded the Silver Star, Soldier's Medal, Bronze Star, Meritorious Service Medal, Joint Service Medal, and Army Accommodation Medal.

Gary also studied martial arts while serving overseas where he reached the level of 4th degree black belt in Tiakwondo. He continued to pursue training in martial arts after his career in the army ended and would go on to a achieve a master black belt, in Kuk Sool Won.

He also worked as a highly-skilled mechanic before entering commercial trucking from which he would retire.

Gary is survived by his one son, Dallas Morgan of Tacoma, WA ; one daughter, Stephenie Piniones of Las Vegas, NV; and four grandchildren; 4 brothers, James M. Morgan "Junior" of Gilmer, TX, Wesley Morgan and wife Scarlett of Lake Elsinore, CA, Tim Morgan and wife Tracy of Ennis, TX, and Jeff Morgan and wife Lori of Celina, TX; four sisters, Nora Hartley and husband Lynn of Palmer, TX, Kathy Hartley and husband Dickey of Palmer, TX, Marilyn Griffin of Waxahachie, TX, and Lisa Rider and husband Randy of Mildred, TX; and countless number of nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Gary was preceded in death by his brother, Scott Morgan, in 1980, his father, James M. Morgan, Sr., in 1986, his brother, David Morgan, in 2016 and his mother, Joy L. Morgan in 2020.
