Applications being accepted for upcoming Jacksonville Leadership Institute

Enrollment for an upcoming Jacksonville Leadership Institute is under way, with an application deadline set Aug. 1 for the nine-month program.

According to organizers, the monthly sessions kick off in September, with graduation slated in May.

“Not only will the students learn leadership skills, but also will learn more about the community,” according to organizers. “Each month students will learn about the education, history, industries, economic development, healthcare and local, county and state government for our area. Students will see and learn things they would otherwise never have the opportunity to see or learn,” organizers said.
