Funeral services for Claude Elbert Jackson, 71, of Reklaw, will be 2:00 p.m., Monday, July 12, 2021 at the Wallace-Thompson Funeral Home chapel with Bro. Don Copeland officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Comfort Cemetery, Maydelle, Texas.

Mr. Jackson passed away July 8, 2021. He was born December 1, 1949, in Jacksonville, Texas to Claudie and Addie Jackson. He attended Rusk High School; then he went to work for a geologic team as a seismograph driller before being called to serve in the United States Army, having served in Vietnam. He was a diesel mechanic for 45 to 50 years, having been self-employed. He liked to deer hunt with family, and liked to fish.

He is survived by his daughter and her husband, William and Danielle Durrett of Reklaw; grandchildren, Dalton Wilburn and his fiancé Harlee Hunter of Henderson, Clayton Sides of Reklaw, Addison Durrett of Reklaw; great-granddaughter, Ryklyn Jo Wilburn; his sisters, Jane and her husband Don Allen of Henderson, Geneva and her husband James Cox of Rusk, and Patsy and her husband Eric Jones of New Summerfield; as well as a niece, Alissa Beyer; and nephew James R. Cox; as well as several cousins.

Pallbearers will be William Durrett, Dalton Wilburn, Clinton Ray, Jordan Cummins, Cody Moore, and Justen Melton. Honorary pallbearers are Jeff McKnight, Carl Downs, Greg Lucky, James R. Cox, Don Allen, and James H. Cox.

Visitation will be 1:00 p.m. until service time, Monday, July 12, 2021 at the funeral home.
