JC's Becker recognized as ITA Region 2 Tennis Coach of Year

One of three finalists for the Intercollegiate Tennis Association's National Coach of the Year award, Jacksonville College's Jonathan Becker recently was named the ITA Region 2 Ten-nis Coach of the Year.

The annual award recognizes coaches and players for their excellence on the court and in their communities throughout the season, according to a release.

The NJCAA Playing Awards include: Wilson ITA Coach of the Year, ITA Assistant Coach of the Year, Arthur Ashe Leadership & Sportsmanship, ITA Rookie of the Year, ITA Most Im-proved Sophomore, ITA Sophomore Player of the Year, and ITA Community Service Award. National award winners will be announced June 24.
