County leaders to meet June 22, address large agenda
RUSK – The Cherokee County Commissioners’ Court will meet at 9 a.m. Tuesday, June 22, at the County Courthouse in Rusk, and will address a large agenda that includes health insurance and incentives for employees and a public hearing for reduced speed limit, among other things.
Agenda items include:
• Consider laying utility lines in each precinct
• Discuss/possible vote to change July 13 Commissioners’ Court meeting
• Consider approval of resolution to allow Cherokee County Sheriff’s Department to amend the interlocal agreement with the Jacksonville Police Department, creating the Cherokee County Special Investigations Unit
• Consider/accept request to help Mt. Comfort Cemetery with load of topsoil in Precinct 2
• Consider approval for Precinct 3 to repair potholes in the church driveway of the Pine Grove Community
• Consider approval for continuation of County Specific Incentive program for county employees
• Consider approval of rates for retiree health insurance to be effective Jan. 1, 2022
• Consider approval of budget amendments for Precincts 1 and 2, county jail and solid waste to record proceeds from auction and offsetting expense accounts
• Discuss/possible vote on American Rescue Plan (ARP) funding and going out for procurement
• Hear from Adult Protective Services/proclamation
• Public hearing/consider approval for setting speed limit to 30 mph on County Road 2202
• Consider acceptance of bond and road use agreement for County Road 4912
• Consider/approve consent agenda
