County leaders to meet May 11

RUSK – County leaders will meet at 9 a.m. Tuesday, May 11, at the Cherokee County courthouse in Rusk to consider the following agenda:

• Laying utility lines in each precinct

• Granting request from Precinct 1 to purchase pneumatic roller from Government Purchasing Cooperatives

• Approving monthly sheriff's department report

• Approving a tax resale resolution

• Approving bids submitted for the private resale properties bid in trust to Bullard ISD

• Approving redemption of property bid in trust to Cherokee County

• Accepting request for county road crews to patch road leading to sheriff's department

• Approving a bond for Kandace Herring, elections administrator

• Approving request for assistance by City of Wells to replace culvert

• Approving the temporary closure of portion of County Road 4209 (Myrtle Drive) on Saturday, June 5, for Tomato Run route

• Approving a consent agenda that includes commissioners court meeting minutes, monthly report of Precinct 2 constable Jack White and payment of bills, payroll and transfer of funds
