Billy Calvin Lusk

Our beloved Billy Calvin Lusk, 68, of Tennessee Colony, Texas, entered Heaven’s Gates on Friday, April 2, 2021. He was born January, 22, 1953 in Rusk to Martin Lusk and Nina Twitty.

He could do anything including welding and carpentry; however, his true love was traveling the United State with his wife. When he was not traveling, Billy could be found in his shop out back with a cup of coffee in his hand. Billy wore many hats but his proudest role was that of husband, dad and Pawpaw. Billy was a Baptist who loved the Lord.

Billy is preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Myritta Templin and Shelia Cox; brothers, Raymond Lusk, Fagen Lusk and Shorty Lusk; and grandchildren, Kalista and Austin.

Billy leaves behind his wife of 51 years, Joy Lusk; daughter, Debbie Smith and husband Garrett of Waxahachie; son, Scotty Lusk and wife Stephanie Lusk of Burleson; sisters Lavitta Fawcett and Lucille Sword; and brother, Nat Lusk. Also left to cherish Billy’s memory are his loving grandchildren, Kaleigh, Sierra, Kelsey and Shania; great-grandchildren, Charleigh, Ace and Zoey; and a host of family and friends. A reception honoring Billy’s life was at Rhone Funeral Home, Palestine, April 5.
