County genealogical society returns to in-person meetings
The Cherokee County Genealogical Society has returned to in-person meetings this month, with a Monday, March 8, meeting slated for 5:30 p.m. in the Community Room at the Rusk Public library, 207 E. 6th St.
CCGS President Gordon Bennett of Jacksonville will discuss “Finding and Using Old Maps in Genealogical Research,” based on information from the Internet program, “’The Best Way to find Old Maps’ Episode 36 of Elevens With Lisa.”

A short business meeting will proceed the program. No refreshments will be served.
