William Paul Day

Graveside services for William Paul Day Sr., 91, of Rusk, will be at 3:00 p.m., Saturday, January 30, 2021 at Piney Grove Cemetery in Gallatin under the direction of Wallace-Thompson Funeral Home with Pastor Harold Tucker officiating.

Mr. Day passed away January 26, 2021. He was born February 18, 1929 in Lamesa, Texas to the late Arlie and Rosa Day. He will be missed by many who knew him to be generous with his time serving many organizations volunteering around Cherokee County. He also was very proud of his service, entering the United States Army in 1947.

He is preceded in death by his parents; former wife, Alma Day; daughters, Patricia Day, Sharon O’Neal; sisters, Lola Batson, Opal Murdock and a brother Carl Day.

He is survived by his wife, Charlotte Tyler Day; daughters, Marcia Warren, Paula Stewart; son, William Day Jr., lots of grandchildren, great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
