Alto council to consider property incorporation, May 1 election business

Alto city leaders will consider the incorporation of an 18-acre tract belonging to Dewayne Bingham during a 6 p.m. meeting Monday, Jan. 25, at Alto Cily Hall.

Council members also will consider an Order of General Election on May 1, with the mayor's seat and two at-large council positions up for election this year. In a separate, but related action, the council will consider designating two weekdays during the early voting period to be open for 12 hours. City Secretary April Compte suggests Monday and Tuesday, April 26-27

Other agenda items include:

- Approval of the 2021 holiday schedule

- Approval of a five-year registration with SAM in the amount of $2,995

- Financing the purchase on a dump trailer for utility department through CBTX – Wells

- Hear and act on various departmental reports for November and December 2020 colon Court, police, code, utilities, Edmond

- Approve meeting minutes from Nov. 16 and Dec. 1 meetings

- Approve adjustments made in the month of November and December 2020

While no executive session items are posted on the Jan. 25 agenda, the council reserves the right to retire into executive session on any of the items on the agenda and especially for the personnel matters listed above, as per Texas Government Code.
