Wells’ Hog, Predator Hunt slated Jan. 15-17

The sixth annual Hog Hunt & Predator Hunt will be held Friday through Sunday, Jan. 15-17, hosted by the Wells FFA Booster Club.

Payouts will be offered on main pots and side pots for each hunt, with heavy hog and biggest cutter pots available for the Hog Hunt, and big dog, big cat, biggest coon and heavy hog for the Predator Hunt.

No trapping will be allowed, while thermal and night vision are permitted. Event weigh-in will be held at 9 a.m. Sunday, Jan. 17, at the Wells High School Ag Shop.

Proceeds from the event benefit the Wells FFA Booster Club, which offers scholarships and other financial assistance for participants’ needs.

Fees are $50 per person per event, with a maximum of four people per team.

Registration will be held daily at 3 p.m. and end at 7 p.m. for each event, with participants eligible to hunt immediately.
