Amelia Ozee Garner

Amelia Ozee Garner, age 85, of Rusk passed away Dec. 31, 2020 in Jacksonville. She was born November 16, 1935 in Rusk to the late Ellie and Stella Moore Hudson. Mrs. Garner was a lifelong resident of Rusk and worked at Rusk State Hospital as a service assistant and was a caregiver at several other jobs. She loved her friends and her home.

She was preceded in death by her husband, B.D. Garner and two sons, Michael Gene Garner and James Allan Garner. She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Billy Don and Jeanette Garner of Rusk; four grandchildren including Glen Allan Garner and wife Andrea of Dialville, Michelle Hall and husband Steven of Rusk, Anthony Garner and wife Crystal of Rusk, Lee Jacob Garner and wife April of Gallatin; and thirteen great-grandchildren.

A memorial service is planned for a later date.
