School’s out for the holidays

CHEROKEE COUNTY – Public schools in Cherokee County will be on vacation during the latter part of December, returning to their respective campuses in early January.

Those dates include:

• Rusk ISD. Early release Friday, Dec. 18; return to campus on Tuesday, Jan. 5.

• Alto ISD. Officials announced Dec. 10 that classes would go to Remote Learning for the week of Dec. 14. Christmas break is from Dec. 21 to Jan. 4, with students returning to campus on Tuesday, Jan. 5.

• Bullard ISD. Last day for the year, Thursday, Dec. 17; return to campus, Wednesday, Jan. 6.

• Jacksonville ISD. Early release, Friday, Dec. 18; return to campus on Tuesday, Jan. 5.

• New Summerfield ISD. Early dismissal days Wednesday - Thursday, Dec. 16-17; Christmas break Dec. 18 to Jan. 4. Return to campus Tuesday, Jan. 5.

• Troup ISD. Christmas break from Dec. 21 to Jan. 6. Return to campus Thursday, Jan. 7.
• Wells ISD. Christmas break Dec. 21 -Jan. 1. Return to campus Monday, Jan. 4.

Jacksonville College begins its spring semester Tuesday, Jan. 12, with registration set for Jan. 8-11.

The BMA Theological Seminary begins its spring semester Monday, Jan. 25, with registration set from Jan. 4-8.
