First United Methodist Church, Rusk is holding Sunday school and church services and even some meetings using the CDC recommendations. We invite you to join us Sunday mornings to worship with us. Our on-line calendar is temporarily disabled due to COVID-19 and uncertain times. We will try to post meetings and/or changes as they become available. DEC. 19-20
Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Mission will host a tamale sale the weekend of Dec. 19-20. Tamales are $12 per dozen, with the deadline to order on Friday, Dec. 18. They will be available after the 9 a.m. and 11:15 a.m. Sunday liturgies on Dec. 19. Contact the church office for more information, 903-683-1862.

Bethlehem Lutheran Church, across from Palestine High School at 1515 S. Loop 256, celebrates the Fourth Sunday of Advent on Dec. 20. Divine Service of Holy Communion starts at 9 a.m. and again at 10:30 a.m. Bethlehem also has past services posted on our YouTube channel, Bethlehem Evangelical Lutheran Church-Palestine, Tx. A Blue Christmas Service – for those carrying pain, hurt of loss during the holiday season – will be held at 4 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 20, at Rusk’s First Methodist Church, located at 255 S. Henderson St.
DEC. 24
The Dialville Methodist Church will have a candlelight Christmas Eve Communion service at 6 p.m., Thursday, Dec. 24. The church is located on County Road 1611 in Dialville. Pastor John Hawkins says
temperatures will be taken at the door, with social distancing and all COVID-19 safe practices being followed.
