Rusk second-grade students proudly display pairs of shoes donated to a collection they initiated as part of a reading assignment. Donations will be taken at the local elementary campus through Friday, Dec. 18, as part of this initiative, but gently used, clean shoes may be donated year-round at the various campuses, said Assistant Elementary Principal Ashley Oliver.
