Local McDonald's honors vets, active military with free meal

McDonald's restaurants in Jacksonville and Rusk will offer free combo meals to veterans and active service members on Veterans Day.

They can redeem the offer during breakfast, lunch or dinner on Nov. 11, and must show a valid military ID, said Lynann Young, franchise owner/operator of Cherokee County's two McDonald's restaurants, both located on U.S. Highway 69.
