Troup school board meets Monday

TROUP – School trustees will consider approving certified tax roll levies for 2020 for Smith and Cherokee counties during a 6 p.m. meeting Monday, Nov. 9, at the Troup ISD administration building.They also will consider approval of a resolution to approve annual investment policies and strategies, as well as a consent agenda featuring minutes of an Oct. 13 regular meeting, revenue/expenditures, purchase orders greater than $50,000, revisions to several local policies and budget amendments (if necessary).An executive session is planned, with trustees discussing new hires, personnel and a superintendent evaluation instrument; action – if any – will be taken when the board resumes into regular meeting, as per state government code.
