New Summerfield city leaders to mull agenda

NEW SUMMERFIELD – Local city leaders will consider several action items during a 6:30 p.m. meeting Tuesday, Oct. 13, at New Summerfield City Hall, 13280 State Highway 110 North, including:

• A contractor for city street repairs.

• Renting out house next door to City Hall.
• Insurance claim deductible reimbursement for Casey Davis.

• Reinstating Columbus Day as an employee holiday.

• Commercial gas meter deposit amount.

• TTHM (trihalomethanes) removal equipment

• Utility and police department reports

• Consider a consent agenda that includes previous minutes, a finance update and bill paying

The council also is slated to meet in executive session to discuss a six-month evaluation of employee Thorton Minter. Action, if any, will be taken when the council reconvenes into open meeting, as per Texas Government Code.
