J’ville youth missing

A missing person’s report was filed early Tuesday, Aug. 25, for Tyress Gipson, 18, of Jacksonville, who was reportedly last seen about 9:30 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 22, according to posts on social media from friends and family members.

Family said he is not answering his phone.

The report was filed with the Jacksonville Police Department, which has launched an investigation into his disappearance.

He is a black male of slender build with long dreadlock-style hair.

“I just want my baby back,” Gipson’s mother, LaVance Hill Wooten posted on the Facebook page God Please Bring Tyress Gipson Home, which has been set up to share information and organize searches for the teen. “That’s all I want!”

His family has offered a $10,000 reward for information on Gipson’s whereabouts. According to social media posts, his last known location was in Jacksonville and is reportedly thought to have been in the company of a woman named Breonna Jimenez.

He was last seen wearing a white tee shirt, black jeans and white shoes.

“Continue to keep Tyress’s family and friends in your prayers -- this isn’t like him not to have some type of contact with someone,” Facebook friend Jessica Lynn posted.
