A graveside service for Nelda Jean Hudson, 88, of Lufkin, will be 10 a.m., Saturday, Aug. 22, 2020, at Providence Cemetery, Jacksonville, Texas, under the direction of Wallace-Thompson Funeral Home-Rusk with Minister Rita Hudson officiating.
Mrs. Hudson passed away peacefully Saturday, Aug. 15, 2020. She was born April 25, 1932, in Dialville, Texas, to the late Zach and Lilly Baker. She enjoyed ceramics, macramé, and sewing. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Rusk, having been a lifetime Baptist.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and her former husband, Comer Hudson.
She is survived by children, Rita Hudson of Lufkin, Lou Townsend of Tyler and Annette and Billy Kimbrell of Dialville; grandchildren, Wendy Bolton of Dialville, Kevin Kimbrell of Tyler and Keri Kimbrell of Mesquite; great-grandchildren, Meagan Applon of Lufkin, Justin Stone of Tyler, Jalyn Stone of Tyler, Lexie Hendrix of Dialville, Journey McGehee of Mesquite, Van McGehee of Mesquite, Blake Kimbrell of Tyler, Davis Kimbrell of Tyler and Emma Kimbrell of Tyler; great-great-grandchildren, Xzavier Applon of Lufkin, Aden Applon of Lufkin, Joycelyn Applon of Lufkin, Karsin Stone of Bristow, Okla., and Gunner McCellon of Tyler; and brother, Robert Henry and Grace Baker of Pasadena, Texas; as well as nieces and nephews.
