Rusk Rural WSC lifts boil water notice

As of 1:30 p.m., Tuesday, Aug. 4, 2020, Rusk Rural Water Supply Corporation has rescinded the boil water notice issued on Friday, July 31, 2020, for WSC customers on: HWY 69 N, FM 2972, Meadowlark Lane and County Roads 1501, 1502, 1503, 1505, 1506, 1507, 1523, 1524, 1525, 1526, 1527, 1528, 1536, 1537, 1540 1541, 1605, 1608, 1609, 1617, 1618, 1620 and 1630.
On July 31, 2020, The Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) required Rusk Rural WSC to issue the boil water notice to inform customers that due to the presence of contaminants or an interruption in service, water from the system must be boiled prior to consumption.

“Our system has taken the necessary corrective actions to restore adequate pressure, disinfectant levels and/or bacteriological quality and has provided TCEQ with testing results that indicate that the water no longer requires boiling,” according to WSC officials.
