Mike Tullis

A graveside service for Mike Tullis, of Rusk, was held Wednesday, July 15, 2020, at Alto Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Autry Funeral Home in Jacksonville.

Mike was born March 13, 1947, to in Jacksonville to Henry and Mildred Tullis and entered eternal life on Friday, July 3, 2020. He was 73 years old.

He was a member of the Terrell Masonic Lodge of Alto and had worked for Satterwhite Ford in Alto for several years. Mike was a Texas correctional officer for 10-plus years and a Reserved Deputy for Cherokee County. He also worked for L&L Ford in Rusk.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and brothers, Joseph Henry and Tony Tullis.

Left to cherish Mike’s memory are son, Joey Tullis and wife Wendy of Jacksonville; daughter, Paula Jean Murphy of Deer Park; and sister, Sue Manning and husband Jack of Tomball. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Kyle Tullis and wife Lexi, Karli Novander and husband Richard, Raya Sanford, River Tullis and wife Sydney, Josie Tullis, Jaden Tullis, Jessica Brown and Cory Germany; six great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
