Lurline (Chavers) Tisdale

Lurline (Chavers) Tisdale, of Fairfield, passed away on Sunday, April 5, 2020 in Palestine, Texas. She was born July 4, 1929 to Anne Willard and Sim Chavers in the Post Oak community. She was baptized in 1941, at Post Oak Baptist Church, Fairfield, Texas, and was a faithful follower of Jesus Christ. She was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Jack Tisdale; her parents; her granddaughter, Jamie Goss; her siblings, James Chavers, Sim 'Dub' Chavers, Jr., Nellie Garrett, Martha Harrison, Ruth Moore, Kathryn Smith and Edwin Chavers.

She is survived by her children, Richard Tisdale (Frances), Wyatt Tisdale (Linda) and Shirley Scroggins (Terry); her sister, Jimmie Hughes; grandchildren, Aaron Tisdale, Jodi Deters, Matthew Tisdale, Stephanie Grieves, Michael Tisdale, Heidi Spaith, Laura Farnum, Rachel Petty and David Tisdale; and 21 great-grandchildren.

Private graveside services were held Tuesday, April 7, 2020, at the Post Oak Cemetery, Freestone County, Texas, with the Rev. Edwin Crank presiding. A memorial service honoring Lurline's life will be at a later time.
